Prime Minister vows to take Pak-Saudi relations to new heights
ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Pakistan, Abdul Aziz bin Ibrahim bin Salih Al-Ghadeer, Thursday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The prime minister conveyed his greetings to the leadership and brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed close and cordial relations and that it would be the endeavor of his government to take the bilateral relations to new strategic heights.
The prime minister said that Saudi Arabia was home to 1.5 million Pakistanis who contributed heavily for the development of the country through their about $ 3.7 billion remittances per year.
He appreciated that the Saudi leadership always stood by the people of Pakistan during challenging times.
He also lauded Saudi Arabia’s important role in promotion of global peace and stability.
The prime minister conveyed his sincere prayers for the good health of HRH King Abdullah. (APP)
