KP government seeks load shedding schedule: Khattak
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervaiz Khattak called on the federal government to provide the provincial government with a load shedding schedule.
During a news conference, Khattak alleged that WAPDA officials would take bribes to fix transformers.
" If our problems related to WAPDA and load shedding are not resolved we will start protest against WAPDA at official level," CM said adding that load shedding will create law and order problem for the provincial government.
Meanwhile the province’s Finance Minister, Siraj ul Haq said the province is ready to get control of WAPDA if the center pay Rs 3 trillion out standing dues against it. Khyber Pukhtunkhwa could generate 25000 Mega Wat hydle electricity therefore federal government should come forward and invest in hydel sector to over come the energy crisis within three years, Siraj proposed.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to hold protests against prolonged power outages in the province. They had termed these outages as a conspiracy against the PTI government.
