MQM denies reports of discussion over Altaf successor
KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee has rejected the news reports published in a section of press regarding the discussions about the successor of Altaf Hussain as “baseless, misleading, irresponsible and hilarious”.
In a statement issued on Sunday, The committee said that there was not an iota of truth in these reports that were being “purposely spread to create confusions among MQM workers and sympathizers about the party leadership.”
The Coordination Committee said that the conspiracies to create disharmony in the rank and file of the MQM by spreading baseless reports and malicious analyses and comments by certain journalists would come to nothing.
The committee further said that the workers and office-bearers of the MQM were firmly united and organized under the leadership of Altaf Hussain.
