PTI to contest presidential election despite reservations: Imran
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that his party would contest the presidential election and won’t let the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) run away with the presidency.
Speaking at a press conference, Khan said that though Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stance on lack of time for campaigning was right, his party would take part in the election to strengthen democracy.
He said that Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed will be PTI’s candidate for the presidential election. Imran Khan thanked Jamaat-e-Islami for announcing support for the PTI candidate.
