ECP advises ‘affected’ candidates to go to SCISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday advised those presidential candidates who feel they have been deprived of their right to run their election campaign to approach the Supreme Court for further revision in the presidential election’s schedule. The ECP, in an official statement, stated that it had issued the schedule for the presidential election, inter alia, fixing the dates for withdrawal and the poll as July 2 and August 6, respectively. While deciding a pending case, the Supreme Court fixed the dates for above activities as July 27 for withdrawal and July 30 for the election. staff report
