Shahbaz asks lawmakers to take lead in campaign against power, gas theives
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif Sunday said that electricity and gas theft was a great menace in which some big fish are also involved and they are being made accountable, Geo News reported.
Punjab CM said that these anti-social elements robbing the nation and the country in billions deserve no mercy.
Talking to Lahore district assembly members, Shahbaz Sharif said that actions are being taken on war footing for bringing the energy crisis under control and the government would soon succeed in steering the country out of darkness and putting it on the road to progress.
Punjab CM said that along with the factory owners involved in electricity and gas theft corrupt government officers are also being taken to task. He advised the lawmakers to take the lead in the campaign against electricity and gas thieves.
