Model Town incident concluded proceedings

LAHORE – A one-judge tribunal holding an inquiry into the Model Town incident on Saturday concluded its proceedings.
Earlier, Asad Ali Khan, Deputy Director ISI, appeared before the tribunal and submitted an analysis report except for cell phone numbers issued by the Warid Telecom Company. It incorrectly sent the cell phone data of July 16 and 17 instead of June 16 and 17. The tribunal issuing notice sought cell data of the numbers from Warid Telecom Company.
Punjab General Advocate Muhammad Hanif Khatana, submitted a statement/affidavit of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, through his authorized agent, Abdul Qayyum, Special Secretary, the chief minister office, which was made part of the record.
Punjab Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera told the tribunal that requisite security had been provided to Abdullah Malik, President Civil Society Network. He further assured it of an expeditious and transparent investigation of the First Information Report (FIR) wherein theft of a vehicle belonging to Abdullah Malik was reported.
