Sindh government changes provincial administration

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday made major changes to the provincial administration.

Ghulam Qadir Thebo was removed as the Karachi police chief and appointed to the post of Chairman Anti-Corruption.

Mustaq Maher has been appointed as the Additional Inspector General Police Karachi.

Other important changes include Manzoor Qadir being removed as DG Sindh Building Control Authority and Saqib Soomro being removed as the Administrator Karachi.

Secretary Corporation Sindh Shadar Shamon has also been removed. Ten deputy commissioners including those from Dadu, Jamshooro, Shikarpur, Sanghar and Mir Pur Khas were also removed.

Administrator Hyderabad Khalid Sheikh has removed from his post and appointed Deputy Manager WASA.

The removals from the Sindh bureaucracy come in the wake of PPP leaders meeting in Dubai on Thursday and directing provincial ministers to crack down on corruption. According to sources the Sindh government is taking action against those individuals who are being investigated by NAB for corruption.
