Is listening to Altaf Hussain’s speech a sin: Nasreen Jalil

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Nasreen Jalil on Friday wondered if it was a sin to listen to the speech of the party chief Altaf Hussain and complained that the ongoing Karachi operation is only targeting her party.

Addressing a press conference along with Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Nasreen Jalil said termed the last night’s raid conducted by Rangers on MQM Headquarters as illegal because it was carried out without any warrant.

She alleged that her party workers were being tortured during their remand and that if the authorities really want to arrest all ‘we will present ourselves for arrests on the same day’. “We won’t even get bails,” she added.

Nasreen Jalil claimed that actual purpose of workers arrests and raids was not to establish peace but to crush MQM.

“We will not be scared of arrests and raids, and we will never stop supporting Altaf Hussain,” she said.

She said these arrests and raids are the best example of dictatorship in the democratic era.

Kanwar Jameel said their leader Qamar Mansoor was still in Rangers custody.
