PML-N’s Zafar Ali Shah defects to PTI
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) disgruntled leader Zafar Ali Shah has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He has also decided to withdraw papers for NA-53 in favour of Imran Khan.
Shah made the formal announcement of his joining PTI after the party Chairman Imran Khan visited him at his residence on Thursday.
In January 2013, Shah left Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to join PML-N. He contested 2013 general elections on PML-N ticket from NA-212 Naushero Feroze-II but could not get success.
The former senator had distanced himself from PML-N due to some differences with party leadership over Islamabad’s local body elections of November 2015.
