09:00pm- The Electronic Result Transmission System developed by Nadra failed to deliver as after lapse of three hours no result has been transmitted through the app.
08:40pm - Naeem ul Haque: The overwhelming sentiment in favour of PTI all over the country proves that the people of Pakistan now want IK as their leader and PTI as the party in power to bring about the much needed change this country has been waiting for.
08:29pm- According to sources, turnout in Pakistan’s largest province Punjab in Election 2018 was at 53%, which was 57% in 2013 elections.
08:00pm -Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading in 51 National Assembly constituencies, according to unofficial and initial final results.
PML-N is at 41 and PPP 24.
7:15pm-The results have started pouring in after voting time concluded and counting of ballots started across Pakistan after a daylong polling in the landmark parliamentary elections, marred by a deadly terrorist attack in Quetta, where 31 people were martyred in a suicide attack.

06:40pm: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has taken notice of news channels announcing poll results before the 07:00pm deadline.

Some news channels have started announcing election results against the Code of Conduct of Election Commission of Pakistan, which bar media to announce the results before 07:00pm.
06:00pm- The voting time has concluded and counting of ballots started across Pakistan after a daylong polling in the landmark parliamentary elections, marred by a deadly terrorist attack in Quetta, where 31 people were martyred in a suicide attack.
5:55-Election Commission of Pakistan has issued notice to Imran Khan for violating secrecy of ballot paper while casting his vote in NA 53 and summoned him on July 30. ECP has asked Imran Khan to appear in person or through his counsel to give clarification.
05:14pm - Despite demands from the top political parties to increase the polling time due to slow voting, the election commission has decided not to extend the time.
04:45pm - After PML-N’s demand of extending polling time by one hour, Pakistan Peoples’ Party and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed have also requested the election commission to increase the time till 07:00pm.
04:35pm - An important meeting of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is being held in which the Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Raza Khan would consult the provincial election commissioners on calls for extension in polling time.
04:15pm - Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has convened an urgent press conference after seeking extension in polling time. Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and Marriyum Aurangzeb will address the presser.
04:00pm - Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) Facilitation and Complaint Cell has received so far 300 complaints regarding violation of code of conduct since start of polling.
03:15pm - Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his wife cast their vote at Rawalpindi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
In his message, the Army Chief asked the voters to come out and vote undeterred.
2:30pm- Several political parties including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and Pakistan Peoples' Party have complained of slow voting in different cities. The PML-N in a letter to the Election Commission requested to extend polling time by one hour.
02:00pm - Mother of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived at a polling station set up at Islamia College Railway Road to cast her vote in NA-124.
1:30pm -Information Minister Ali Zafar said the speculations about the timely conduct of general elections 2018 had died down as the nation went to the polls in a free manner.
01:10pm -At least 31 people were martyred and dozens more wounded in a suicide attack near a polling station provincial capital of Balochistan, officials said, as people voted in elections on Wednesday.
12:15pm - PPP leader Saeed Ghani has complained of slow voting. Ghani, who is contesting from PS-104 Karachi, told Geo News that the slow voting process may effect turn out.
12:00pm - The ECP took notice of PTI Chairman Imran Khan's media talk inside the premises of polling station. The PTI chief held a press conference in a polling station in Islamabad where he had come to cast his vote.
11:45am - At least 25 people embraced martyrdom when a 'suicide bomber' targeted a polling station in Quetta.
11:00am - Michael Gahler, chief of the European Union Election Observation Mission, visited several polling stations in the constituency NA-53 and termed the arrangements as satisfactory.
10:55am - Firing incident has been reported in NA-53 constituency from where Pakistan Peoples’ Party’s Shazia Marri is contesting. The PPP leader said that several party workers were injured.
10:45am - Polling has been stopped after five people were injured in a blast in NA-200 Larkana.
09:55am - Polling officers barred from entering polling station number 106 of NA-247 in Karachi.
The ECP has received complaints regarding the issue from Jamaat-i-Islami.
09: 47am - Sindh caretaker CM Fazlur Rehman casts his vote in Karachi's NA-247 constituency.
9:32am - A suspicious person, claiming to be a police officer, denied access to Lyari Bihar Colony polling station in NA-246 due to which polling process was stopped at the polling station for about 20 minutes.
09:27am - MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar has cast his vote in Karachi' consistency.
09:18am - Daughters of late Benazir Bhutto, Aseefa and Bakhtawar Bhutto cast their votes in Nawabshah's constituency, voice support for Pakistan People's Party (PPP).
9:07am - Salman Shehbaz's wife Zainab could not cast her vote in Lahore, as her name was not reportedly present in the voters' list, while Salman cast his vote in Government Junior Model School, Model Town.
08:56am - A large number of female voters in Peshawar are reportedly being seen at the polling stations to cast their votes.
08: 49am - The nation is enthusiastically heading for the polls to elect 270 members of the National Assembly and a total of 570 members of four provincial assemblies for the next five-year term (2018-2023). Over 12,500 candidates are vying for national and provincial assembly seats.
08:40am - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman urged the voters to exercise their right of vote , adding that only votes can bring a change in the country and the parliament.
08:30am- Speaking to media, soon after casting his vote, Shehbaz urged the masses to vote for PML-N. He vowed that if his party is elected again they will change Pakistan's destiny, end unemployment, improve education/health, and build Diamer Bhasha dam, asking the citizens to use their constitutional right.
08: 24am - There are reports that voting at some polling stations, including PS-24 Sukkur constituency and Karachi's Surjani Town's polling station No 69 in NA-252, are yet to start.
08:20am - PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, Former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and PTI senior leader Asad Umar cast their votes early in the morning in their respective constituencies.
08:00am - Voting in Pakistan has begun amid tight security as around 105.95 million eligible voters will exercise their right of franchise in country’s eleventh general election to elect their preferred candidates and parties today (Wednesday).
