APC rejects July 25 election results

ISLAMABAD: All Parties Conference (APC) convened jointly by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) has rejected July 25 general election results.

Briefing the media about the conference, Mauala Fazl-ul-Rehman said all political parties who attended the meeting have rejected July 25 election results. “We will launch a movement for re-elections as all parties have developed consensus over it,” he said.

“We want democracy in the country. We won’t let democracy to be held hostage,” MMA chief said.

He warned that they would not let thieves and looters to enter sacred assemblies.

Fazl went on to say that they will organise protest demonstrations across the country till elections are held again.

PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Sirajul Haq and others were also present.

Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has emerged largest party winning over 115 National Assembly seats in the elections 2018.

All other major parties including PMLN, PPP, MMA have alleged rigging in the general elections .
