Japan congratulates Imran Khan, looks forward to strengthen bilateral ties
Citing the Japenese officials, the local media said that the government has worked with the previous Pakistani government on different projects and it hopes for continue the projects with the new government as well
TOKYO: The Japenese government congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan for his party’s huge victory in General Elections 2018.
The Japenese local media stated that their government hopes for better bilateral relationships after the placement of new government in Pakistan.
Citing the Japenese officials, the local media said that the government has worked with the previous Pakistani government on different projects and it hopes for continue the projects with the new government as well.
There are several investment opportunities in Pakistan and the government (Japanese) hopes to continue projects in Imran Khan’s government as well, the media added.
The results of General Elections 2018 declared PTI’s lead in National Assembly (NA), however, it would have to make collision government with some other party.
The German government has also commented on Imran Khan’s victory in elections and stated that they are ready to ‘work closely and confidently’ with the new government.
The German Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson, while referring to the newly elected government, stated that their government is ready to assist Pakistan in accomplishing their tasks.
Stressing the goals of security and stability in South Asia, the US spokesperson Heather Nauert also stated that their country is looking forward to work with the new government.
“As Pakistan’s elected leaders form a new government, the United States will look for opportunities to work with them to advance our goals of security, stability, and prosperity in South Asia,” Nauert said.
