KP chief hails historic tribal elections as elections of whole Pakistan
Commenting on the ongoing last phase of polls in erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) merged districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, on Saturday, said that it wasn’t the election of only tribal people but the whole Pakistan.
CM Khan expressed hope for the developmental projects and said that the general elections would not only change lifestyles of the tribal people but also enable the representatives of FATA to raise their voices on a proper platform.
He added that the future would be full of opportunities for the tribal people to develop themselves and become a part of the ongoing development process.
He hoped that the newly elected members from the merged districts would work for the welfare and benefit of their electorates.
CM Khan asserted that the government had formulated various schemes and uplift projects for merged areas, which would be completed very soon.KP Chief Minister noted that the winning candidates would be entitled to praise and would hopefully highlight the issues faced by the tribal people, including unemployment and health cards.
He maintained that FATA projects would be hopefully completed soon while he held a meeting with the apex committee concerning security measures.“Election Commission visited the area, met with people whereas polling has been conducted transparently and hopefully polling will also be completed peacefully,” he concluded.
