Unannounced load shedding irks citizens


KARACHI: Scorching heat along with unannounced load shedding made life miserable for a common man across the country.

The duration of power cut in Balochistan is 14 to 16 hours whereas other provinces facing 8 to 12 hours power cut downs.

Most parts of interior Sindh hit by harsh weather and prolonged power outages multiply their miseries. According to spokesman of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), HESCO is facing shortfall of 660 MW due to maintenance work at some of the units of Guddu, Jamshoro and Muzzafargarh grid stations.

The urban and rural areas of Punjab hit by power outages for 12 to 18 hours paralyzed the domestic and commercial activities. Kyber Pakhtoonkhaw also passing through similar situation. Prolonged power cuts badly affected business activities across the province.
