Pakistani businessmen welcome at Sixth Kashghar Fair: China

* Privatisation minister says Pakistan must have business cooperation with China at grass roots level

ISLAMABAD: China welcomes all Pakistani businessmen who wish to attend the Sixth Kashgar South and Central Asia Commodity Fair, Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui said on Friday.

“We will issue visas and will provide all possible facilities,” the outgoing Chinese ambassador said, while addressing a press conference at a local hotel.

Privatisation Minister Waqar Ahmed Khan and other Chinese officials were also present at the press conference. Zhaohui said his government had made special arrangements for the fair, including issuing a Kashghar-to-Islamabad flight schedule.

He said Pakistan and China enjoy close relations and both countries wish to improve their economic ties.

Cooperation: Waqar said Pakistan and China have close cooperation in all kinds of fields and stressed to need to enhance the economical ties.

“Pakistan has tremendous natural resources. We must have business cooperation with China at the grass root level,” he said.

The Sixth Kashgar Fair is to remain open till the end of the month. While highlighting features of the fair, Kashgar Prefecture Administration Vice Commissioner Rapkat Nurrahman said the environment provided for all investors “will be more relaxed and comfortable, by offering fast and efficient service with credibility”.

He said the Kashghar Fair will be an international regional economic event and will strengthen the central and south Asian regional exchange and cooperation, promote investment, expand import and export, promote strengths and achieve co-development.

“We will make full use of the advanced convention and exhibition concept and management models of developed areas, upholding of services, and will try our best to create the highest standard,” he said.
