SC rejects law ministry summary in NRO case
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Friday ordered the ministry of law to prepare a new summary for opening the money laundering and Swiss cases.
A five judges bench of Supreme Court comprising ofJustice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Tariq Pervez Khan and Justice Rehmat Hussain Jafferi hearing the NRO implementation case.
In its remarks, court said law ministry is also misguiding Prime Minister. Acting secretary law ministry Sultan Shah submitted a summary in the court sent by the ministry of law to the Prime Minister about implementation of the NRO verdict of the apex court
The court expressed dissatisfaction over the summary and orders to the ministry of law for preparation of a new summary about reopening of the money laundering and Swiss cases.
Justice Tariq Pervaiz in his remarks said the summary has also misguided prime minister whereas Justice Nasirul Mulk said the summary is for non-implementation of NRO. Later, the court has adjourned the hearing till first week of July.
