MPA Rizwan’s appeal dismissed with fine
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday dismissed the appeal filled by PML-N’s MPA from Sargodha, Rizwan Gill, against his disqualification from contesting polls following appearance of fake bachelor’s degree.Also, apex court imposed fine on him with orders of filing a criminal case against petitioner.
A three-member bench, including Chief Justice Iftikahr Mohammed Chaudhry, conducted hearing on the case filed by PML-N’s former MPA on PP-34 from Sargodha.
The petitioner, in his appeal, challenged Lahore High Court (LHC)’s verdict, which pronounced Rizwan Gil disqualified from partaking election on holding a fake bachelor’s degree.
SC also imposed fine on petitioner.
