LHC to hear petition against Awan from July 7
LAHORE: A five-judge full bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the petition on July 7 against Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan on contempt of court, Geo News reported Saturday.
Engineer Ghulam Gilani, head of Awami Peoples’ Party filed the petition, which said Dr Awan made a mention of Bhutto family and President Asif Ali Zardari and while, doing so, he passed scathing remarks against the higher judiciary.
Babar Awan employed inappropriate words against the judiciary while referring to a case being heard by the LHC against the dual offices of the President.
