PM orders garnering data to regularize katchi abadis
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani directed to collect the data and organize survey in a bid to regularize the Katchi abadis across the country, Geo News reported Wednesday.Attending a cabinet session at the PM Secretariat, the PM Gilani directed the Local Government Ministry to work out an action plan to regularize the katchi abadis present countrywide.
Also, the federal cabinet approved Private Power Infrastructure Board during the meeting. Cabinet also approved in principle the establishment of Capital University of Science and Technology in the federal capital.
The PM Gilani said the red-tapism should be abolished to pave way for the implementation of the cabinet decisions.
According to sources, the PM on the criticism by the cabinet members for delay in sugar imports, directed the six-minister committee formed at the Economic Coordination Committee of the cabinet (ECC) to expedite drawing up a report on delay in sugar import and unmoved prices of the commodity.
