Nisar also discredits APC
ISLAMABAD: Leader of the opposition in national assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, expressing his reservations on the much talked about constitution of a five-member Commission for the probe of Abbotabad incident, said that he was not consulted.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali told Geo News that the Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani didn’t take his opinion, while constituting the Abbotabad Probe Commission.
Chaudhry Nisar’s chamber has also released the copy of the May 18 memo sent to the prime minister in which Nisar had stressed for the need of consultations with the opposition leader.
Chaudhry Nisar in his letter had suggested the names of Justice (rtd.) Shafiur Rahman, Justice (retd.) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Fakhruddin G Ibrahim, Veteran journalist Majeed Nizami, Mahmud Khan Achakzai, Asma Jahangir and Justice (retd.) Bhagwan Das.
Chaudhry Nisar had also proposed the probe into the reasons of Osama presence in Abbotabad to be included in the mandate of the Commission and had added that the Commission should also find out what are the finalized issues between Pakistan and U.S. and the Commission should be made bound to submit the report fixing the responsibilities in thirty days.
