Pak-India Joint Working Group examines visa procedures

ISLAMABAD: The first meeting of the Joint Working Group of India and Pakistan continued for two days, commencing on Thursday and ending on Friday (June 2 to 3) to examine the modalities for streamlining visa procedures and to finalise the draft of the Bilateral Visa Agreement.

According to a joint statement by the Foreign Office, the meeting of the Joint Working Group was held in pursuance of the decision taken during the talks between the interior and home secretaries of both countries that were held in New Delhi on March 28 and 29. The Pakistan delegation was led by Interior Ministry Additional Secretary Nasar Hayat, while the Indian delegation was led by Ministry of Home Affairs Joint Secretary (Foreigners) GVV Sharma. app
