Cooperation with Pakistan is in security interest of US: Toner
WASHINGTON: United States has asserted that cooperation with Pakistan is in long security interest of the US, Geo News reported.In a press briefing, State Department spokesman Mark Toner stated that the United States is extending support to Pakistan in strengthening democratic institutions, security and against terrorism.
The spokesman said that strong, stable, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan is in the interest of the region.
Mark Toner further said collaboration with Pakistan has proven fruitful as large number of the terrorists had been killed or captured in Pakistan as compared to other parts of the world.
