Cities continue to face scorching heat


KARACHI: Most of the cities all across the country are still in the grip of scorching heat, while no rain is expected in coming days, the meteorological department said.

On the other hand, fishermen have been cautioned to avoid fishing in deep water and come back to shore before Friday as a storm has been forecasted.

Director General of met department General Arif Mehmood told Geo News that the low pressure of air is still present in Arabian Sea and the department is closely monitoring the situation.

The cyclone monitoring centre is closely observing the low pressure situation in Arabian Sea and the situation will be clear by Thursday, DG Met added.

According to DG Met, the entire country is facing sizzling weather, however, dusty winds can lower temperature in twin cities.

He also said that it is before time to predict about rain in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan as the department is still monitoring the low air pressure situation.
