Karzai arrives in capital on two-day visit
ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrived here Friday on a two-day visit to hold talks with the leadership.
Karzai is visiting Islamabad on the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari.
He was received by Minister for Sports Eng. Shaukat Ullah and other officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at PAF Base Chaklala. Afghan Foreign Minister and the army chief also accompanying President Karzai.
The Afghan President will hold talks with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani to promote bilateral relations.
He will also attend an important meeting of Peace Commission constituted by the two countries to promote peace and security in the region.
President Karzai's visit is aimed at contributing to further enhance friendship and close cooperative ties between the two countries.
