Pakistan and Afghanistan agree to boost cooperation
ISLAMABAD: The Pak-Afghan Reconciliation Commission meeting today concluded with an agreement that the two countries would give a boost to intelligence sharing and military cooperation.
Foreign Office Spokesman said that the maiden meeting of the Pak-Afghan Reconciliation Commission was held here today, where President Hamid Karzai and Prime Minister Yususf Raza Gilani headed the Afghan and Pakistan delegations respectively.
Pakistan reiterated its pledge to support Afghanistan’s independence, sovereignty and integrity.
Pakistan and Afghanistan delegations appreciated the setting up of Pak-Afghan Reconciliation Commission. Pakistan also lauded the Afghan peace efforts of Professor Burhanuddin Rabbani and the High-peace Council.
Both the countries resolved to find out a solution of the Afghan issue in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Afghanistan.
