Govt. transfers DG FIA to head NACTA


ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has transferred DG FIA Malik Mohammed Iqbal to head the National Counterterrorism Authority (NACTA), Geo News reported. Additional DG FIA Tahseen Ullah will be Malik Mohammed Iqbal's stand in replacement.

While speaking with Geo News, Malik Mohammed Iqbal said that he would vacate the post of DG FIA on Tuesday. According to sources the former NACTA head Dr. Waseem Kasur has been appointed DG national police.

Iqbal had been indicted by the Supreme Court on contempt of court charges for issuing orders which led to the transfer of an officer investigating the NICL scam case.
