Pakistan rejects Pew’s opinion poll
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has rejected the findings of the opinion poll released by the Pew Research Center as an exercise undermining democracy and wrongly portraying the Pakistani people’s struggle against terrorism. “Democratically held general elections and ballot boxes reflect the real public opinion for an elected government,” said a government spokesperson in a statement issued here on Wednesday. Random surveys conducted on a sample size of less than 2000 people in a country of more than 180 million do not reflect the true picture of a rapidly evolving and dynamic country like Pakistan, he added. app
