Political mafia trying to hide corruption: Imran Khan

LAHORE: Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan said Saturday that President Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are fighting with each other in an effort to hide corruption, Geo News reported. He added that they are working in cohesion.

Imran Khan made this statement during the inauguration of “remove the government and save the country” campaign as he was departing Lahore for Multan.

While speaking to the media, he said that when the Supreme Court takes an action against President Zardari then Nawaz Sharif and other political parties support the president in the name of protecting democracy.

He said that the 18th amendment had given the power to the president to call for elections while the president himself is the chairman of a political party, which is why they would request the Supreme Court to ensure that elections are free and transparent.
