AJK parties protest against rigging
AZAD KASHMIR: Official counting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir polls would be completed today but on the other hand angry parties protested against the alleged rigging during elections on June 26, Geo News reported.
Rival groups clashed on the roads forcing police to use tear gas to disperse them. Many cities of Azad Kashmir including Mirpur, Muzafarabad and Bagh witnessed tense situation due to rigging allegations and clashes.
SP Kotli Irfan Masood sent his resignation letter to the DIG over arrest and then release of Tariq Sikander, son of ex-AJK PM Sardar Sikander Hayat. More than 100 personnel also resigned in sympathy with the SP.
