Poetess Kishwar Naheed elected as PIPFPD chairperson
LAHORE: Kishwar Naheed was elected as Chairperson while Ali Imran as General Secretary of Pakistan India People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) Islamabad Chapter unanimously for the year 2011-12 in an election at SAFMA Media Centre Islamabad held on June 28 (Tuesday).
A reasonable number of members participated in the election. In the meeting, Tahira Abdullah, Ashfaq Saleem Mirza, Ijaz Gul, Ayub Malik, Dr Arshad Waheed, Arshad Rizvi, Snobar Altaf, Mazhar Arif, Mian Aftab and other prominent members also participated. Along with other agenda items, forthcoming proposed joint convention at Allahabad (India) in September was also discussed. pr
