Opposition uproar cuts Budget 2012-13 speech short
ISLAMABAD: The budget session started amid uproar and commotion in the National Assembly, which ultimately forced the finance minister to cut his long speech short, Geo News reported.
As soon as Federal Minister for Finance Abdul Hafeez started the Budget 2012-13 speech scuffles broke out in the Assembly hall.
The uproar, which started from the Opposition benches spread across the Assembly hall but somehow the treasury benches managed to let the budget speech continue uninterrupted.
Opposition chanted “shame shame” end loadshedding, during the whole speech but the federal minister adamantly continued with his speech and concluded it defying the hullabaloo around him.
Also during the course of the speech the ruling party MNAs were guarding the minister to save him from any physical harm.
