CJP’s son case one of important cases of judicial history: Kaira
ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Thursday that the case of the son of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was very important in the history of judiciary.
He was talking to reporters at the residence of Religious Affairs Minister Khursheed Shah, where Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Bajaur Agency president announced to join Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Kaira said that in the past allegations of corruption were levelled against the sons of other important persons, including prime minister, who came back from honeymoon to face the charges.
Similarly, the sons of Shahbaz Sharif and Pervaiz Elahi also appeared before the courts to face the charges.
He said that the issues raised by senior journalists were serious and the decision of the CJP not to sit on the bench hearing the case of his son was a very good decision. app
