NAB opens inquiry into Rs 62bn DHA land scandal

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Admiral (r) Fasih Bokhari authorised an inquiry into a Rs 62 billion land scandal of the DHA.
A complaint against the management of DHA and others includes allegations of illegal adjustment of 17,000 kanal land, which was meant for the proposed Dadhocha Dam; illegal resale of DHA Phase II (Extension) site to DHA Valley and illegal extension of DHA Phase II (Extension) area. The NAB chairman directed the Operations DG to immediately initiate a transparent inquiry to alleviate the sufferings of the affected people. Earlier, no action was recommended in response to the aforementioned complaint. staff report
