Levies men involved in alleged rape case couldn’t be arrested

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The border levies men involved in the alleged rape of the five girls could not be arrested, while the three-member probe team arrived on Sunday here, Geo new reported.

DGK DCO said that there were contradictions in the statements of the girls. Five girls on pleasure trip had arrived at the house of their relation Asif Imran here and had gone on a visit to Fort Monroe, where the border levies men on the pretext of checking took them to the Fort Monroe police station and allegedly subjected them to assaults. All the five persons including the three border levies men Amjad Ali, Naveed Ahmad and Mohammad Zafar named in this case are absconding.

Levies men from an unknown place talking to the Geo News said that they had asked the girls to let them check their vehicle, which led to the exchange of hot words, the girls threatened them and later they were let go.

A three-member probe team headed by Additional IG Nasir Durrani on the directive of Punjab chief minister has arrived at the circuit house here.

DGK Border Levies Force senior commandant and DCO Iftikhar Ali told media that complete security was being provided to the girls, while their medical reports would be received by tomorrow from Lahore. They said that the girls have not yet disclosed their identities and their statements were full of contradictions.

DCO said that the levies men accused for ravishing the girls would volunteer arrest today.
