Won't let anyone derail democracy: PM
MARDAN: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said although conspiracies were being hatched to undermine democracy, the Pakistan People's Party would not let anyone put it off the track, Geo News reported.Addressing a public meeting in Mardan, the Premier said some elements also conspired to stop the Senate elections and the fifth budget but failed.
He said anti-PPP schemes began since it came to power while attempts had also been made to defeat PPP in the general elections.
He said that those who accused PPP-led government of giving no respect to institutions should not forget that while they enjoyed amnesty in Jeddah it was PPP that stood by the people of Pakistan.
