Zardari pays tribute to Hazrat Fatima (SA) at London mootLONDON: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Hazrat Fatima-tuz-Zahra (SA) is a role model as the daughter of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), the wife of Hazrat Ali (AS) and the mother of Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS), and an embodiment of nobility, courage and sacrifice. In a special message at an international event to celebrate the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA), Zardari said that she has a unique place in the history of Islam. Her name will continue to inspire women anywhere, particularly in the Muslim world, as she was great woman and role model for women of all ages and all climes. The president congratulated International Imam Hussain Council for organising the event to highlight the life of Hazrat Fatima (SA) at the British Parliament, and said, “I am pleased to learn that International Imam Hussain Council has organised an event in London UK on June 14 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA). The International Imam Hussain Council has emerged as an important platform of interfaith and communal harmony. It has been organising events aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and promoting community and communal harmony. Headed by a young and talented woman it is most befitting that the council has organised this event to commemorate the life of Hazrat Fatima (SA). Women’s issues and bridging the gap between peoples of different faiths are two critical concerns of the present age. I am glad that the conference has decided to focus on some of the issues in these critical areas with a spotlight on the life of Hazrat Fatima (SA) and other notable women of Islam. asif mehmood
