Power tariff increased by Rs 1.98 per unitISLAMABAD: The National Electricity Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification increasing power tariff by Rs 1.98 per unit with effect from November. “The assessed fuel charges adjustment of Rs 1.98 per unit for April is higher by Rs 0.1912 per unit than Rs 1.7918 per unit for the month of March, therefore, effectively, there will be an increase of Rs 0.1912 in the utility bills on the same account as compared to March,” the notification read. It said the above adjustment would be applicable to all consumer categories except lifeline consumers of all power distribution companies, excluding Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC). inp
