Fresh polls only solution: Munawar
LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that election of the new Prime Minister was a sheer waste of time and the nomination of Raja Pervez Ashraf for the office by the PPP was an insult to the nation.The PPP government‘s sole achievement during the last four and a half years had been creation of a series of crisis, so what miracles it could perform during the next six months, he asked in his address to the Friday congregation at the Mansoora Masjid here.
He said the only solution to the prevailing situation lay in holding of free, fair and transparent elections under the supervision of an autonomous Election Commission and on the basis of transparent electoral rolls.
He stressed upon all the political parties to unite on this single point agenda instead of wasting time and resources of the nation. (PPI)
