Zardari, Raja discuss energy crisis
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency to discuss the current situation in the country, especially the energy crisis. The prime minister apprised the president about the steps being taken by the government for revival of economy. He informed the president about the decisions made in the cabinet meeting. Raja said the government was committed to resolving the energy crisis. He also mentioned the steps being taken for growth of the agricultural sector, saying the government would not let the energy crisis affect the sector. Matters related to power generation and unscheduled electricity and gas load shedding were also discussed in the meeting. staff report
