Makhdoom Shahab files interim bail plea
ISLAMABAD: Former health minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin on Wednesday filed an interim bail plea in the Lahore High Court (LHC) pertaining to the ephedrine case.
Shahab’s counsel, Advocate Shah Khawar, filed the plea in the Rawalpindi Bench of the LHC. The petitioner submitted that issuance of an arrest warrant against Shahab before the election of prime minister was based on malafide intentions to keep him from appearing in the election.
The counsel expressed hope the plea would be accepted as there was no evidence against his client. The court will take up the case today (Thursday). online
