Pakistan still demands apology on Salala attack: Naveed Qamar

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Syed Naveed Qamar has reiterated that Pakistan is firm on its stance over the demand an apology by US and NATO forces on the Salala check post attack in which 24 Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom.
Talking to media following a PIA board meeting here on Friday, he said Pakistan would continue to play its role in the international community for restoration of peace in the region, but he added that there will be no compromise on national sovereignty.
The Defence Minister further said national interest would be kept in mind when determining relations with the US. He said there will be no compromise on national interests and the decision regarding reopening of NATO supply routes would be made in accordance to aspirations of the Pakistan. PPI
