MQM stages protest outside SHC against killings, kidnappings
KARACHI: A large number of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers and supporters, including families of missing MQM activists, gathered outside Sindh High Court to protest against illegal arrests on Friday. Addressing the participants, MQM Coordination Committee member Haider Abbas Rizvi urged Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to take notice of the disappearances, killings and kidnappings of the MQM workers in Karachi. Accusing law enforcement agencies, he said that many of the MQM workers have been arrested from various areas of the city, the LEAs were abducting the workers in plain clothes, shifting them to unknown locations and torturing them to death. staff report
