JUI-F to support Nawaz for Prime Minister slotISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has decided to vote for Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the election for the Leader of the House.
Talking to media here following a meeting of the party's parliamentary party on Tuesday‚ the JUI-F chief said that a delegation of PML-N had asked his party to vote for Nawaz Sharif in the election for the slot of the Prime Minister.
He said in response‚ the core committee in its meeting‚ decided to vote for Nawaz Sharif as a goodwill gesture.
Fazl said that JUI-F also supported the PML-N’s candidate for the office of speaker and deputy speaker in the National Assembly.
There were no principled differences between JUI-F and PML-N, he added.
