Nawaz won’t be a consensus PM

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) President Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Monday said that his party would take part in the election for prime minister.

Talking to media at the Parliament House, Fahim said that his party had decided to withdraw its candidates for the slots of speaker and deputy speaker, however, it would take part in the election of the prime minister. Earlier, the PPPP withdrew its nominees Nawab Yusuf Talpur who had submitted papers for the post of National Assembly speaker and of Khwaja Ghulam Rasool Koreja who applied for deputy speaker’s slot. Fahim further said that history was being made as for the first time, power transition was taking place to an elected government after another elected government had completed its constitutional term of five years. app
