PM Sharif forms Federal Cabinet Energy Committee
ISLAMABAD: In an effort to deal with the crippling power crisis in the country, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has formed the Federal Cabinet Energy Committee.
The prime minister chaired a high level meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday to review the energy crisis in the country. The committee will be headed by the prime minister and its members will include the Ministers of Finance Water and Power Petroleum and Natural resources and Punjab Chief Minister.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar‚ Water and Power Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif‚ Petroleum Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi‚ Information Minister Pervez Rashid‚ Advisor on Water and Power‚ Dr Musadiq Malik‚ representative of private sector‚ experts and senior officials.
