Senior Sindh Police officials stand demoted after SC order
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday struck down the 22 January 2002 law that permitted out of turn promotions, Geo News reported.
With the 2002 order being struck down many high ranking officers of the Sindh Police will stand demoted. The officers that will be effected by the Supreme Court order include SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam, SSP Farooq Awan, SSP Raja Umer Khattab, SSP Rao Anwaar, SSP Mazhar Mashwani, SSP Khurram Waris, and SSP Fayyaz Khan.
These officers will now stand demoted to the ranks of DSP’s and Inspectors.
