PPP, MQM relations begin to thaw

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) relations have begun to thaw as the leadership of both the parties contacted.

Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ebad returned after performing Umrah in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Meanwhile, sources said that President Asif Ali Zardari has also suddenly reached Karachi where he would hold talks with his party leaders for the formation of any possible alliance with MQM in Sindh.

The sources further said that there are two point of views in the MQM regarding formation of alliance with the PPP, while on the other hand, some PPP leaders are also not in a favour to hold talks with the MQM.

Both the parties have decided not to comment on the issue, the sources added.
