ECP orders fresh polls in PS-81 on 26thISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday ordered fresh polls in the whole constituency of PS- 81, Sanghar-IV on June 26 in light of the judgement of the Supreme Court.
According to a statement issued by the ECP, “the SC passed order on 17th May, 2013 in civil petition no. 235-K and ordered the fresh polls in the whole constituency of PS-81, Sanghar-IV.”
The ECP directed the concerned Returning Officer (RO) to supervise the polls personally with adequate resources.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday, directed all the Returning Officers (ROs) to provide certified copies of the various forms/information relating to the General Elections-2013 to any individual, NGO, media and general public.
The ECP directed all the ROs to provide Form XIV (Statement of Count) prepared by the Presiding Officers for each polling station, Form XV (Ballot Papers Account) prepared by the Presiding Officers, Form XVI (Consolidation statement of result of count furnished by the Presiding officers), Form XVII (Result of the Count) prepared by the Returning officers and Polling Scheme for General Elections-2013.
In this regard, letters have been issued to all the Provincial Election Commissioners for implementation of the ECP directions by all the Returning officers of their respective provinces. “All interested individuals, NGOs, media and general public are therefore requested to contact the Returning Officer concerned for the certified copies of above said form/information,” the ECP stated. onlineCourtesy www.dailytimes.com.pk
