SC issues notices to CEC, federationKARACHI: The Supreme Court (SC) Monday issued notices to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakharuddin G Ibrahim and Federation over a plea seeking contempt of court proceedings, Geo News reported.
A division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali and Justice Gulzar Ahmed was hearing the case at the Karachi Registry.
Former Director General Training Nasreen Pervez had move a contempt of court plea against the CEC and the federation, stating that she wasn’t given promotion in grade 22 despite the orders of the apex court.
Accepting the plea, the court has issued notices to Fakharuddin G Ibrahim and federation for hearing the case.
